Anyone have a favorite (Mac-based) music player for the music already on your laptop?
iTunes appears to have resigned from that position.
Back story: I tried to search for an album I know I have locally as part of my iTunes library. I could only find a way to search Apple Music, which doesn’t happen to carry the album in question.
Bozo bit flipped.
I’ve been playing around lightly with Plex as an in home media server (for how often kids stream same movies from iTunes, storing and playing local makes much more sense). For just a player, I’ve heard good things about Tomahawk too. 2023 Update: Looks like Tomahawk was abandoned circa 2020.
I’ve been using Roon for a while, and I like it.

I have Swinsian. It seems good, but I actually don’t use it a lot because I use Spotify a lot.
